The Waiting Room feature allows hosts to control which participants can join the session. Participants are placed in a virtual waiting area outside the meeting room, similar to waiting in a hallway outside a closed meeting or classroom.
The host receives a notification at the top of the meeting window when participants are waiting and can admit individuals at an appropriate time. Hosts and co-hosts can also rename participants in the Waiting Room before they enter the meeting.
Account owners and admins can configure settings to automatically move participants to the Waiting Room if the host or alternative host leaves. Additionally, they can enable an option to automatically readmit participants when the host or alternative host returns.

In addition to meetings, Zoom also offers a Waiting Room feature for webinars, allowing hosts to control when participants join the session. This feature can be customized to enhance the attendee experience by adding personalized messages, images, logos with descriptions, or videos to the Waiting Room.
