Getting Started with 'Zoom Notes'
Zoom provides a dedicated built-in note-taking app, which allows users to quickly capture thoughts, action items, and more.
Establish your settings, then get started using Notes or My notes in a live Zoom meeting, from the web portal, your mobile app, or the desktop app. Each note is synced across the platforms.
Getting Started with 'My notes'
My notes is AI Companion enhanced to create a transcript of conversations that take place during a meeting or webinar. The resulting My notes are yours only and are not automatically shared. Accessible from the Zoom desktop app, you can use My notes for Zoom Meetings, Zoom Webinars, in-person meetings, or virtual meetings on other platforms.
Prerequisites & Limitations
- Zoom desktop app for Windows, macOS, or Linux: Global minimum version or higher.
- Zoom mobile app for Android or iOS: Global minimum version or higher.
- The Notes feature must be enabled in your account.
- You must be signed into the desktop app to use Notes in a live meeting.
- Notes can only be shared with individuals who have a Zoom account.
- Notes (when using TechConnect Zoom) are supported only in English.
Establish Account Settings for Notes
- Sign into the web portal, then click Settings on the left navigation menu.
- On the horizontal menu bar, select Notes.
- Enable or disable your preference for each setting option related to using and sharing Notes.

Create and Manage Notes
Notes can be created, viewed, and shared from the web portal, the mobile app, the desktop app, and during a live meeting. A variety of formatting tools are available, including options for text color, fonts, and layout. Once a note is complete, it can be shared with others, edited, or deleted as needed.
