You should see the PlayPosit tool renamed to something that references WeVideo if your district or college has completed the migration.
PlayPosit/WeVideo is an instructional design platform for delivering student-engaged learning experiences online by active learner participation within instructional video content. This is enabled through addition of real-time questions and a variety of other interactions within existing instructional video content hosted with TechConnect Cloud (3C Media Solutions), YouTube, or Vimeo, accessible for use through your Canvas LMS login.
From built-in resources such as pre-defined templates and customizable interactions, it helps instructors quickly and easily create engaging interactions, ranging from simple to complex, within their instructional video content. Included interactions of multiple choice, fill in the blank, check all, discussions using a rich text editor, web embeds, polling, reflective pauses, and free responses allow for customization of content for targeted student engagements.
Through application of interactions via a module overlay, it ensures retention of original video content. It is a forgiving tool for all skill levels, allowing easy changes and repositioning of applied interactions along a video track and closed captions.
Focused on supporting student success and instructional improvement, it provides in-depth assessment of student engagement results at the individual interaction level, and includes collaborative authoring with resource sharing to colleagues across the CCC system.
In addition to online classroom applications, PlayPosit/WeVideo-designed learning experiences are also useful in traditional classroom settings, and for organizational capacity needs outside of standard student instruction, such as mandated HR trainings.
PlayPosit/WeVideo is funded by a CCCCO grant and available to California Community Colleges’ faculty, staff, and administrators at no cost. Regardless of where you choose to create and store your source video content, you are able to use TechConnect Cloud services to optimize it and deliver quality engagements for online instruction.
