Recording settings can be selected as the default for all meetings. Sign in to your Zoom account., select Settings, then Recording then enable or disable your preferred settings including the type of recording (Local or Cloud). Cloud recording options inlcude file types to save with the recommendation to save only the files that are required to minimize recording storage. Other options include recording sharing, viewing limitations, and recording notifications.
In the live meeting, when the Record button is selected on the meeting toolbar, a recording file will be created. The type of recording file will depend on your cloud and/or local recording settings.
At times the host may not want to record the conversations and shared content, the recording can be paused and resumed when ready. A recording can be paused as often as needed, and will result in one continuous recording file.
If the recording is stopped and then restarted more than once, separate files are created each time the recording is stopped and started.
Once the recording begins, the tool bar expands the icons menu to offer these additional options.
Resume recording (after clicking the Pause icon).
Pause a recording.
Stop recording.
