Whether you decide to automatically or manually record meetings, Zoom offers many meeting recordings options. Recording settings can be viewed and changed in the web portal by clicking on Settings in the left navigation menu, then clicking on the Recording tab.
If you have local recording enabled, recordings will save on your local device; additional settings appear when local recording is enabled.
Recording settings from the Zoom desktop client can also be accessed and enabled for specific devices, such as selecting a local destination for your recordings.
Cloud recordings save in TechConnect Zoom cloud. Cloud recordings now allow you to recognize and record up to 9 spotlighted participants in a meeting or webinar. Enabling cloud storage allows for additional settings, such as generating a separate transcription file or audio file to save. There is the option of trimming and sharing the recording link with others. The more recording settings you have enabled can impact the time it takes for the files to process.
Please keep in mind, TechConnect Zoom cloud storage is for short-term use. Delete cloud recordings when they are no longer needed, or download recordings for alternate storage locations, then delete the recording from your account as a best practice.
