Your account has several recording settings available; choose to use the default settings or change the settings to meet your needs. Setting options are available after recording has been been created, and you want to share the recording link.
TechConnect Zoom Cloud storage is for short-term use; our storage capacity is shared across the CCC system. When selecting recording settings, please select only those those that are needed as a file is created for every option, which impacts files storage. Please follow these best practices to manage your individual recording storage usage:
- Delete Cloud recordings when they are no longer needed.
- Download recordings to store in alternate storage locations, then delete the
recording from your account.
Web Portal Recording Settings
Log into your account on the web portal.
- Click on Settings in the left navigation menu.
- Click on the Recording tab to view the default settings and make changes as needed; select only the files types that are needed to reduce the number of files added to cloud storage. These options are used when the recording is created. Additional options are available after the recording processes, and you want to share the recording.
When only Local recording is enabled, the recording files created in a live meeting are saved to on your local device. These files cannot be uploaded to the Zoom cloud.
If both Local and Cloud recordings enabled, you will be able to select record locally or record to the cloud once in the live meeting.
The Smart Recording option uses Zoom's machine learning model to automatically divide cloud recordings into smart chapters for easy review, highlight important information, and create next steps
for attendees to take action. Click here to learn more about using this feature.
