Zoom Rooms - Zoom Rooms is a software-based room system designed for audio conferencing, video conferencing, and wireless screen sharing. It accommodates both room-only attendees and remote participants joining from various devices. To set up a Zoom Room, you need at least a Zoom Rooms Appliance, an iPad, or a computer running the Zoom Rooms software. A controller is also required unless using a touch device. Additional equipment may include displays, speakers, cameras, and microphones. Zoom Rooms can be managed remotely, allowing administrators to control devices and settings through the Zoom web portal.

Room Connectors - Room connectors serve as gateways for H.323 and SIP devices, enabling them to join Zoom cloud meetings. There are two types: the Cloud Room Connector (CRC), which is hosted in the Zoom Cloud, and the Hybrid Conference Room Connector, which utilizes on-premises deployments.

Zoom Translated Captions - Enable users to have the speech in a meeting or webinar automatically translated in real-time to captions in another language. For example, if the speaker is speaking English in a meeting, captions can be made available in Spanish, Chinese, Ukrainian, and more.

Zoom Scheduler - Zoom Scheduler provides users with the ability to generate “slots” of availability for attendees to then select a preferred time on both parties’ calendars, which reduces time spent going back and forth to sync schedules. It integrates with Zoom Calendar Service, Google Calendar, and Microsoft 365 Calendar.

Zoom Clips Plus - The standard Zoom Clips feature allows users to capture up to 5 clips per user, which are short 2-minute videos that are easily shareable with others; however, with the Zoom Clips Plus add-on license, users can create unlimited clips with an unlimited duration.

License Purchase Policy
In order for TechConnect to purchase a license from Zoom, our accounting department must receive a copy of a signed purchase order or check/credit/debit card payment to proceed with the license acquisition from Zoom and license acquisition can take up to 30 days to receive the license. TechConnect places orders on the first workday of each month (non-holidays).
Once you have provided us with the required payment information, the sale is final. We are not able to provide refunds, exchanges, trade-ins or other changes to existing licenses. Should you decide to select a different license, it would be in addition to any existing licenses already purchased. For example, we are not able to "upgrade" a Webinar 500 to a Webinar 1000 for the difference in cost. A new Webinar 1000 would need to be purchased. Similarly, if a Webinar 1000 was purchased but then a Webinar 500 was desired instead, a new Webinar 500 would need to be purchased, as a "downgrade" is not possible.
In the time that an account holder is waiting for their license after they have provided a copy of a signed Purchase Order or we have received payment, if the account holder has an event scheduled that requires a Large Meeting or Webinar license, they can request one for the event. Loans are not guaranteed and are provided based on availability.
TechConnect Support does not offer training sessions on how to use add-on licenses (with the exception of employees at the Chancellor's Office).
FAQ's
Do you offer loans for one-time events if we don't want to purchase?
At this time, we do not offer loans for one-time events.
How long is the license good for?
The license term ends at the end of the fiscal year. For the 2026-27 fiscal year, the term ends June 30th, 2027. Licenses are renewable at the end of each term.
Can you just schedule the event for our college and we can host it?
At the start of COVID-19 we offered this service; however, with the increased demand for online events, we have had to change our policy. (Employees at the Chancellor's Office are the exception.)
Can one license be shared with multiple accounts?
The license is assigned to one account; however, a generic TechConnect account can be created. For example, a college's IT department can create an email address for 'webinars@college.edu' and a TechConnect account can be created for that email address where the license can be assigned to.
