TechConnect offers Licensed Zoom accounts at no cost to all employees of the California Community College system. Licensed accounts allow for unlimited meeting minutes with up to 300 attendees. A TechConnect Zoom Licensed account is required to use TechConnect Zoom in your Canvas courses.
If you are a contractor or student in a tutoring role and require an account, your supervisor must submit the request for your account to support@ccctechconnect.org
Sign-up for a new account
- Sign-up for a new account on our website https://www.conferzoom.org/ConferZoom/SignUp. After submitting, the next page will confirm that you successfully submitted your account request.
- An invite from no-reply@zoom.us with an activation link stating Click here to approve the request will be sent to the email address that you requested for your account. Click on the activation link once. If the email is not received in your inbox, check your spam/junk mail; if the invitation does not arrive within the same business day please contact support@ccctechconnect.org.
- Choose a sign-in method if prompted.
- Complete the prompts that follow to establish your account.
- Your account will have limited features and no recording ability until our support team completes the final approval on your account within 72 hours.
Upgrade an existing basic account
If you have a free, basic Zoom account that limits your meeting time and capacity, we can upgrade your account to a Licensed TechConnect Zoom account.
- Use the link https://www.conferzoom.org/ConferZoom/SignUp to upgrade your account by entering your information as well as the email address associated with the basic account.
- An invite from no-reply@zoom.us with an activation link stating Click here to approve the request. Click on the activation link once.
- At the prompt, click 'I Accept My Account Change' for your basic license to be upgraded to a TechConnect Zoom Licensed account.
- Your account will have limited features and no recording ability until our support team completes the final approval on your account within 72 hours.
Note:
- If you prefer for us create or upgrade your account instead of doing so on the website, please email support@ccctechconnect.org.
- If your district manages TechConnect Zoom accounts for your college and you've created or requested an account with us directly, we will send an email within 72 hours asking you to contact your helpdesk to create your account.
