Meeting hosts can give participants privileges to create a local recording for breakout rooms or themselves. The following steps show you how to allow participants to record.
Enable local recording in your account as the host
- In the navigation menu, click Settings.
- Click the Recording tab.
- Enable Local Recording.
- Select the check box to enable Hosts can give meeting participants permission to record locally.
- Click Save.
Giving local recording privileges to participants in live meeting
- In your Zoom meeting click Participants.
- In the participant's menu navigate to the participant to whom you want to grant recording privileges, and click More next to their name.
- Click Allow to Record Local Files.
The participant will receive a notification about recording privileges. When a participant is recording, the participant menu will display a recording icon next to the participant's name. - To disable the participant's ability to record, click More next to the name, then click Forbid Record. The participant will receive a notification about no longer having recording privileges.
