In this section, instructors will sync their ConferZoom account with the integration, choose email settings, reminders, calendar sync, and time zones.
|Note for Teachers:
If you do not have an active ConferZoom account, sign up at http://conferzoom.org/ using the main email address associated with your Learning Management system.
Open the ConferZoom page from the course navigation bar. To synch your Canvas account with ConferZoom, click on 'Account Settings' on the upper right, then click on 'Conferencing Accounts' on the left side.
A green check mark will appear confirming Canvas and ConferZoom are synched and ready to use. This may take a few seconds.
If your account did not successfully sync, the following error message appears. Your Canvas primary email must be the same as your ConferZoom account email. Contact email@example.com or call 760-744-1150 ext 1537 or 1554 for assistance

Email Settings for Upcoming Event Notification
Receive email reminder notification of upcoming events and appointments, as well as changes to scheduled appointments. Select 'Account Settings' on the top right, then 'Email' on the left. navigation bar.
1. Identity Email Address: This is the primary e-mail address in your learning management
system. When notifications are enabled, this will be your default email.
2. Messaging Email Address: Elect to receive your notifications at an email other than the
default 'Identity Email'. Enter the new email then click 'Send Verification'. When you receive
the verification email you are required to enter your 'Identity Email Address' (in #1 above) to
complete the process.
3. Reminders: Choose to receive an e-mail reminder for an upcoming event or appointment.
Define how long prior to each event you would like to be notified. Alerts will appear in email on
computers and devices where your email program is installed.
4. Scheduling Changes: Choose the time interval for when you want to receive an e-mail
notification about any changes to or cancellation of scheduled appointments.
5. Schedule Summary: Choose the time interval for when you want to receive a summary list of
events and appointments for the following week.
Carefully select your email notification preferences to avoid receiving too many emails! The settings can be updated at any time.
Personal Calendar Integration
You can set personal calendar applications to subscribe to a list of your upcoming sessions.
Supported applications include Apple iPad / iPhone Calendar, Evolution, Google Calendar, One Calendar for Windows 10 (Account type: WebCal), Mozilla Thunderbird (with Lightning), Outlook for Windows (Home -> Add Calendar -> From Internet), Outlook.com, Zoho Calendar, and any other application which has subscription support for iCalendar / ICS / WebCal. Please note several applications claim to have support, but they do not actually work, such as AOL Calendar, KOrganizer, Yahoo! Mail.
When you click on the "Personal Calendar" tab on the navigation bar, you will be presented with a link to a personal iCalendar / ICS / WebCal feed.
Paste this link into your calendar software subscription section. It is important to subscribe instead of performing a one time import, as this link is to a feed which changes over time.
If you are using a calendar application which can alert you when you have an event, you may want to forgo subscribing to e-mail reminders.
Some calendar software allows you to specify how often the feed should be refreshed, while others automatically update about once a day. If you subscribe to e-mails for scheduling changes, you may want to consider setting the change threshold to match your calendar feed update frequency.
The feed contains the next 500 events you have access to in the platform. As the feed is solely for you, it is inadvisable to share it with others.
