Caption Files Attached to Media

After submitting a caption request, captions will be added to your video in approximately 1-5 business days.  To verify the caption status, locate the video, then click Details & Options.   

• Pending requests display: "You have already requested DECT funded captioning for this media item, and it is currently being processed. This page will be updated once captioning is complete."
• Completed captions display "A captioning request has been completed for this media. The caption file has been attached to the item.
• Captions can be turned on or off using the "cc" button located on the lower right of the video player.
• The Messages tab also posts a notification that your caption request is complete.  

Locate the caption file:

1. Select the My Media tab.
2. Select the Details and Options link to the right of your video.
3. Select Tools then Edit Media.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page; the .vtt file will be contained in the  Caption File field. 

To view the captions in the video, click the "CC" icon on the player tool bar.
