Q: Do current students get a license so they can create unlimited meetings?
A: Students do not need TechConnect Zoom accounts unless they are in the role of tutor, TA, student government, or other authorized position. If a student meets these prerequisites their supervisor can request an account for them.
Q: Is the 30-hour limit per meeting, per course, or per what parameter?
A: The 30-hour limit refers to Your TechConnect Zoom meetings, but the meeting must be active during the entire 30 hours, or Zoom will close the meeting automatically. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/202460676-Understanding-time-limits-for-Zoom-Meetings
Q: I am still confused regarding the difference between Tech Connect Zoom and Confer Zoom.
A: They are the same. The name was rebranded from Confer Zoom to TechConnect Zoom.
Q: I have a Confer Zoom instructor's account. Do I need to update or upgrade it?

Q: Does the new student scheduling option support Outlook calendar integration?
A: You can enable your Outlook calendar to receive reminders for upcoming appointments, appointment changes, etc.
Q: Can we use Student Connect with our Zoom account, which is not through TechConnect?
A: Student Connect is integrated with your TechConnect Zoom account only.
Q: If we set up our meetings in Zoom in Canvas, will it show Tech Connect Zoom?
A: The tool in Canvas is TechConnect Zoom, however, your district/college may have named it to reflect the college's name.
Q: What is the best way to link a zoom cloud recording to a module?
A: Zoom cloud recordings have share links that can be used to add to a module to share with others.
Q: I am not sure if I have a TechConnect account.
A: Please email support@ccctechconnect.org, for account verification.
Q: Is there a storage limit on 3CMedia?
A: Not at this time, but it is always a good idea to back up must-have material on other storage devices.
Q: Is there a file size limit for TechConnect Cloud (3CMedia)?
A: Yes, there is a file size limit, and it is 1 GB.
Q: Does PlayPosit resides within TechConnect or Canvas?

Q: I was told that captioning through TechConnect Cloud (3CMedia) is not ADA-compliant, is that true?
A: TechConnect Cloud does offer ADA-compliant captions. TechConnect Cloud provides captions that are ADA-compliant to students who have a specific need for ADA-compliant captions. TechConnect Cloud also provides generic captions for general course material that is AI-generated and not specifically ADA-compliant.
Q: I missed how we access PlayPosit.
A: If PlayPosit is not in your college's Canvas selections, please request your Canvas administrator contact support@ccctechconnect.org to arrange installation. Once it is available, it will display in your Canvas options.
